pow wow

coming home today i got to thinking about summer camp. i had a counselor one summer that every evening we would go around the room and share the best thing (wow) of our day and one not so good thing (pow). what got me thinking about this? first pow…

coming north on i-5 after burlington – why is it that no one wants to go the speed limit? i feel like speed racer! then as soon as it goes to 60, cars are crusin’ by me. oh my, it irritates me! (and not picking a speed. cruise control, people)
i am a super recycler. i will take things out of the garbage to recycle. i could do a ton more, i know. but at the fairhaven farmers market i saw a cloth feminine product… not.going.to.do.it.
my little man’s sleep schedule. he is king of the power nap. we’re talking even 5 minutes is enough to go for another 2!

and a few wows

the farmers market – we hit both saturday’s and wednesday’s this week. priceless – both watching manda’s boyfriend learn to hulu hoop and sitting in the fairhaven green with a good friend.
sleeping 10 WHOLE hours – thank you grandma!
walker finding his toes. oh, how i think it’s the most, to die for, adorable thing! he turned 4 months last week and is a pretty big ham in front of the camera already…

while in dallas i was honored when mags asked me to turn the camera on her family. i simply adore these kiddos. when we first met them, i remember trev saying to me, “one of each, please” – they are just that fabulous. (major reflection of the parenting that happens in their house)

to the mcdonald’s ~ thank you for opening up your home to us, for a fabulous time and introducing us to the awesome eats! xo

bits and pieces – etsy nursery finds

this week lil’ dub found the monsters hanging behind him when he’s on the changing table. can you see how he contorts himself to look at them? so cute. it reminded me that i never shared his nursery!

monster prints by artistic red, monster alphabet by paperfingers – both on etsy – i LOVE that place.

the chair is made by eq3. we bought it from area 51 in seattle – one of the coolest places for great finds. gliders are hard to find… at least attractive ones.

the vintage pepsi crate was actually found at pottery barn, but i stole the idea from hannah – who made SO much of my vision come true. the magnet board was a little diy project trev executed for me.

hanging above the crib are these little guys. walker LOVES them. you can see in the above picture the bright eye convos he has with them. he has hannah to thank – she was seamstress extraordinaire! she also made the crib bumper, changing pad cover and rad pillow in the chair. i couldn’t have had all this cuteness without her! i’m hoping she’ll go public and will share her info here if she does!

the room looks more lived in these days, of course. but i adore everything about it!

i’m going to leave you with a little peak into our family shoot with maggie while we were in dallas:

maggie had a 3 year old assistant. i think he rocked the insamatic! you can see mag’s images here and here.

we are in dallas visiting my girl mags. these were taken this past january with the girls. i’m sitting next to her as she edits some shots from todays shoot… of us! to. die. for.

off to eat at another great dallas find. ah, vacation, yum.
