look at that stride. the all comers track meet is some great summer fun – the boys love it. and it’s dang cute to boot.
friends hiring you is the best compliment. this mama was part of my regular monday playgroup routine. i can not put into words how blessed we were to find a group of ladies that were so like minded in our mama ways. no judgement was totally our motto. we could share the cute without it being braggy and the bad without more guilt. it was straight up honest. and what was even cooler is that our kiddos actually got along! no crazy fights or personality head butting. just a super fun, chill monday morning – who would guess we’d actually look forward to mondays! we were all so well matched that the kiddos would all melt at the exact same time – we could tell time by it.
we met up at magic island on a sunny (shocking) evening. what we didn’t expect was the intermission for a little rain. but thank God for it because that rainbow isn’t photoshop, people. we couldn’t have asked for a better scene in the backdrop. these babies were born on island, and how cool for them to look back on what life was like when they were little. i hope they also see how madly they are loved with these photos and how their parents fit together like puzzle pieces.
i miss looking forward to monday mornings. heather was also my date night sitter buddy – we would trade watching each other’s babes while the other couple got a night off. a less expensive date and the kiddos were already super comfortable with the “sitter”. i look forward to telling sloane about the first time we left her for an evening and how she took it out heather. i also hold dear that i got to rock that chunk of a boy to sleep and watch that silly little lady’s imagination take off. so thankful.
the babe’s first time in a hoodie and she rocks it so well. this was in our first weeks back in bellingham where there was still a chill in the air. i adore the monkeys in layers. it was also before little man’s curls were cut… my heart is aching still aching over that. i foresee lots of our summer days spent at boulevard park, cause that’s what locals do, right?
